On the night of September 20, Moscow and the Moscow region were mass attacked by drones. Large-scale fires broke out on the territory of the "Sofyeno" logistics technopark and at the Moscow Oil Refinery in Kapotnya. Drones approached the Russian capital in groups. In Kapotnya, a hit was recorded on a primary oil refining unit at the enterprise, which supplies up to 40% of Moscow's fuel market. In addition, the company Firepoint reported the destruction of FP-1 drones from the Klatsky complex near Moscow. The Russian authorities claimed to have shot down 151 drones over the capital and 249 over the region. The Governor of the Moscow region confirmed the death of two people and the injury of six others. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the strike on the RF territory. According to him, the Defense Forces attacked the Moscow region with long-range means. Among these were the Ukrainian "Pelikan" ballistics, as well as others, including Palianytsia, Vendetta, Lyutyi, Bars, Flamingo, and Sichen. The head of state thanked the SBU, Special Operations Forces, HUR, and Drone Systems Forces for the operation. And emphasized that Ukraine's long-range capabilities need to be expanded.<\/p>\n

25 thousand North Korean citizens work in Russia's drone production, specifically at the Valabuz plants in Tatarstan. According to Bloomberg agency, citing a report by a multilateral sanctions monitoring group, they are registered as students to bypass UN restrictions. Last year, North Korean migrant workers abroad brought approximately 800 million dollars to the "Kim Jong Un" regime. The funds were directed toward financing nuclear and missile programs. In Russia, the average earnings of a worker from the DPRK are about 7.5 thousand dollars per year. A majority or, in some cases, the entire amount is confiscated by the Pyongyang authorities. According to the monitoring group's estimates, by the end of 2025, between 15 and 30 thousand DPRK citizens worked in Russia.<\/p>\n

So, let's start with the Ukrainian strikes on the Russian Federation. Is this, Pelikant, the first Ukrainian ballistic strike, can it already be recorded as such?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Yes, we can already talk about the direct use of Ukrainian ballistics for strikes specifically on the Moscow region. This is what the President of Ukraine, Zelenskyy, has spoken about repeatedly. However, I draw your attention to the fact that, according to the Russian side, 1,600 Ukrainian drones simultaneously attacked the territory of the Russian Federation throughout the night. All these data are provided by the Russian Federation. This indicates the unprecedented capabilities of the Ukrainian side at the moment of scaling aerodynamic means of destruction. I remind you that the occupiers have the ability to attack the territory of Ukraine around the clock. This is a maximum of up to 160 drones once every 10 days, this is a maximum quantity of up to 600. That is, in the scaling and direct use of aerodynamic means of destruction\u2014these are drones and now Ukrainian ballistics\u2014by virtue of defense, Ukraine [has] the strategic initiative. Most characteristically, Moscow and the Moscow region are protected by four rings of air defense and anti-missile defense systems. But, as we see, Ukrainian means of destruction have disabled a Moscow oil refinery. Moreover, it is among the top five most powerful enterprises, providing 40 percent of fuel and lubricants for the needs of Moscow and the Moscow region. Specifically, up to 70 percent of gasoline exclusively for Moscow. These are serious problems for the Russian economy and, specifically, for Moscow and the Moscow region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mr. Dmytro, am I correct that the most powerful argument for the Kremlin to sit down or approach a negotiation process is the defense forces, their achievements, results at the front, and, in particular, long-range strikes? Could the presence of such ballistic weaponry, missiles, force the Kremlin to act more realistically toward the negotiation process?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Of course. This is an element of military-political pressure on the RF. Moreover, note that, unlike the Russian side, the Ukrainian side strikes exclusively legitimate military targets on the territory of the occupying country. Even without using Ukrainian ballistics, exclusively thanks to strikes by unmanned systems, we have paralyzed the vital functions and production process of more than 40% of Russian refineries, and I recall, only 40% of them across the entire territory of the RF. And accordingly, considering the tactical and technical characteristics of Ukrainian ballistics, primarily the warhead, the hit of a few ballistic missiles on an oil refining enterprise will effectively put it out of order without the possibility of restoring the production cycle. That is, this is an extremely serious argument of the Ukrainian side, which, in my conviction, will force the RF to change its attitude regarding the end of the war in Ukraine without so-called territorial claims, namely full control over the territory of the Donetsk region. And accordingly, it will force the RF to move to the proposal of Ukraine and the United States regarding the signing of a so-called energy truce. Moreover, note that the strike with Ukrainian ballistics occurs exactly at the moment of the RF's pause regarding the ratification of this joint proposal of Ukraine and the United States, namely the mutual striking of energy facilities. That is, the first successful test and use of Ukrainian ballistics is a signal to Moscow.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mr. Dmytro, but considering their production of Shaheds, particularly jet-powered ones, they are not yet preparing for an energy truce. Why? Because 25 thousand DPRK citizens are sitting and assembling these drones right now. These 25 thousand, how do they influence the number of drones? To what extent are they increasing this production?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Quite serious. Moreover, let's talk about the fact that 25 thousand are accordingly disciplined workers who are under the complete control of the DPRK secret services. Moreover, drone assembly is monotonous conveyor belt work that requires maximum focus and discipline. This is why workers from the DPRK were specifically brought in, not by chance. Considering their mentality and, accordingly, their iron discipline, which is controlled by the secret services of the DPRK itself. And the main thing is that the RF brought in such a number of workers, perfectly understanding the lack of qualified labor. Until now, they were forced to involve even representatives from the African continent, but this proved to be completely futile. Another argument in favor of workers from the DPRK is cheap labor. Even that figure of 7.5 thousand dollars per year is practically pennies, even compared to the pay of a Russian worker. That is, Russia is solving a number of issues for itself. A. Scaling production. B. Saving budget funds. And C. Full control over the production cycle itself.
